Lillian is the youngest of six siblings originally from Edenton, North Carolina. In 1995, she moved to Newport News, Virginia, and met the love of her life. Upon marriage she became the mother of his two children and they have a son together who was born with multiple disabilities. Even though there have been many challenges, her trials and tribulations have made her the woman that she is today. She is a certified advocate for families that have loved ones with disabilities. She has worked for Newport News public schools for 14 years as a reading specialist, teacher assistant and CNA. She has volunteered for Newport News Humans Services as a parent advocate. She also finds time in her busy schedule to deliver groceries to senior citizens living in poverty stricken communities. In her twenties, she gave her life to the LORD. Through her spiritual journey, she learned how to put her trust in God and in His word. Her husband has been a source of strength in their marriage and even though they have a son with multiple disabilities, she sees this as a blessing that God has entrusted them to care for him. In her life’s journey, her passion has been for helping families in need, parents who have children with disabilities, and helping and feeding the elderly. She brings this compassion to Jehovah Jireh International Charities as a founding member and current secretary of the board of directors. She has a bachelor's degree in sociology and a master’s degree in human services.
